History

Bonny Gibbons is the third of four children, the only daughter of an ex-Marine lieutenant and a stay at home mother. She had two older brothers, Daniel and Brian, as well as a younger brother, James (called Jimmy).

After he left the Marines (before Bonny was born) her father joined the police force. It was a bit of a tradition. Her grandfather had been a police officer, as had his father before him. Being an officer and ex military man, he and his wife ran a regimented house with strict rules and schedules. When Bonny was 8 years old (Daniel-14, Brian-12, James-5), her mother passed away due to complications with a case of pneumonia. After she passed away, Bonny's father moved the house from a small town in rural Ohio to bustling Mt. Pleasant, Michigan where he joined the City police force there.

Bonny, growing up in a male dominated household, was always the quintessential tomboy. She wouldn't be caught dead in a skirt, didn't start wearing makeup until high school, and was always more interested in sports than she was in boys. Her older brothers were very much like her father and very protective of her, while her younger brother proved to be the black sheep of the family. Bonny was always playing negotiator between her father and older brothers and Jimmy. She got used to keeping the peace between them, trying to protect her younger brother from the disappointment that they showed for him.

Daniel and Brian, once out of school, joined the Marines like their father, and Bonny had planned on doing the same since a young age. After graduation, Bonny went off to boot camp. But two weeks into her training, Bonny's father was shot and killed in the line of duty. Both Daniel and Brian were stationed out of the country, so Bonny came home to take care of her younger brother. She got 2 part time jobs to support them, but it wasn't long after the funeral that Jimmy's rebellious ways got the best of him and he ran away from home. They had suspected for a while that he might have gotten into some trouble that he kept hidden from the family, dealing drugs or joining a gang, but after their father's death he just seemed to disappear.

Bonny, heartbroken, hit the bottom. She felt lost and unsure of herself. During this time she became a bit of a wild child, trying to fill the void that she as feeling in her life. But after a few months, she realized that she couldn't keep doing this her whole life. So, she decided that follow in her father's footsteps and joined the Police Academy.

She was a shoe-in. Bonny fell naturally back into her old aptitude for negotiation and pursued a specialty in hostage negotiations and SWAT operations.

She was out camping the night of her first change. The half moon hung low in the sky as she tested her own survival skills, She was sitting by a small campfire when suddenly she felt as though something was wrong, though she wasn't sure what. As she got up to go check the perimeter of the campsite, she grew dizzy and blacked out. She still doesn't remember exactly what happened, but when she woke, she was naked in the middle of her campsite. Her tent was torn to shreds, her supplies were torn up and strewn about the site, bark had been scratched off of tree trunks, holes dug into the dirt. She was frightened and unsure of what had happened. Luckily she found an extra set of clothes to change into. She cleaned up the mess and made her way back to her apartment. Two nights later, she felt the urge to go out walking, and she came upon a group of people gathered in the depths of a park, and she felt... connected. Like she belonged there. It was then that she found out what she was....
